Short Shaheedi Story
Bhai Sukhchain Singh was an soldier in the Indian Army. During the days of the Dharam Yudh Morcha, when the voice for Sikh rights echoed across Punjab, Bhai Sukhchain Singh came home on his annual leave from military service.
Touched by the spiritual strength and fearless leadership of Sant Jarnail Singh Ji Bhindranwale, Bhai Sukhchain Singh felt a deep calling within his soul. Choosing the path of faith, honour, and sacrifice, he joined the Jatha Bhindranwale and devoted himself completely to the Panthic cause. With unshakable courage, he decided never to return to his army duty, dedicating his life instead to the defence of Sikh principles and dignity.
When Operation Blue Star was launched in June 1984, Bhai Sukhchain Singh stood firm among the brave defenders of the Akal Takht. Fighting with unmatched bravery and devotion, he attained martyrdom while resisting the assault on the sacred Darbar Sahib.
