Short Shaheedi Story
Bhai Aroor Singh Dalla was arrested by the Punjab Police in February 1987 from a house in Basant Avenue, Amritsar. He suffered severe torture, resulting in debilitating injuries. On October 31, 1987, the police falsely claimed he had escaped custody after an attack on a police jeep, while he was actually still in their control. Despite no charges being filed against him, he was eventually released. However, he endured mental illness and the physical consequences of torture, ultimately passing away on June 30, 1993, in Amritsar.
