Short Shaheedi Story
Bhai Harjinder Singh Thakar Sandhu was martyred on January 24, 1992, following his wrongful arrest and brutal torture by the Punjab Police. While en route to Mehta Sahib with Baba Thakur Singh Ji, he was forcibly taken by police from the Damdami Taksal bus. Despite false promises of his release, he was handed over to the Dhariwal Police, where he endured severe torture. When the police failed to extract information from him, they falsely claimed his death in a fabricated police encounter. Despite the injustice, Bhai Harjinder Singh's sacrifice was honored with a large gathering at his Antim Ardaas at Gurdwara Gurdarshan Prakash Mehta. Bhai Harjinder Singh Thakar Sandhu was personal bodyguard of Baba Thakur Singh Ji in his last days.
