Short Shaheedi Story
On February 10, 1987, Bhai Manjit Singh Khujala was arrested at the Amritsar bus stand based on information from a police informant. He was unarmed and taken to Mall Mandi, a known torture center in Amritsar, where he was subjected to severe mistreatment under the supervision of SSP Suresh Arora. Reports from journalists, including Mohinder Singh, indicated that Bhai Manjit Singh Khujala suffered extreme abuse. His hands were reportedly severed, a fact confirmed by his family. Despite the brutal treatment, he did not reveal any information about his organization. Later that night, Bhai Manjit Singh Khujala was taken to Sarai Amanat Khan village under Gharinda police station and was killed in a staged encounter around 9 o'clock. This incident highlights the severe human rights abuses faced by Sikhs during this period.
