Short Shaheedi Story
On 5 May 1986, in broad daylight, four unidentified gunmen arrived in a Jeep and assassinated Bhai Sukhdev Singh Sakhira. The incident occurred on Chatiwind Road, near Shaheedan Sahib, outside Dera Baba Bidhi Chand, in the city of Amritsar. Within minutes, the gunmen fled the scene in their vehicle. It was later revealed that the attack was part of a fratricidal conflict.
