Short Shaheedi Story

On the evening of October 25, 1990, Bhai Surjit Singh and Sukhdev Singh Sukha, also known as Chotta Maddar, were surrounded by Indian forces in the village of Basarke-Hundal, near the Indo-Pak border. This was due to the betrayal of an informer. The Punjab Police and Indian Army launched an operation, resulting in a fierce encounter. The battle lasted for 12 hours. Both Singhs fought valiantly for the cause of Khalistan and attained martyrdom on the battlefield, refusing to surrender. They were both in their early 20s at the time of their martyrdom.
