Short Shaheedi Story

On 25th June 1991, Bhai Jangjit Singh and Bhai Jagroop Singh Kalakh were resting in a house in the village of Bunga, near Ahmedgarh. Unbeknownst to them, the family hosting them had become informants for the Punjab Police. The family laced tea with intoxicants, which Bhai Jagroop Singh drank, but Bhai Jangjit Singh avoided. Soon after, the police surrounded the house. Despite being drugged and unable to see, Bhai Jagroop Singh urged Bhai Jangjeet Singh to use his weapon against the police. Both Singhs fought fiercely, killing many security personnel. Bhai Jagroop Singh attained Shaheedi after a bomb was thrown into his room. Bhai Jangjeet Singh continued the battle alone until his ammunition ran out. Rather than surrender, Bhai Jangjeet Singh attain Shaheedi by himself while reciting Waheguru.
