Short Shaheedi Story

In September 1986, Bhai Gurinder Singh Bhola and other Singh Singhnis were residing near Khalsa College, Amritsar. On 16 September 1986, Baldev Singh Hothian, an activist from another group, visited to summon Bhai Bhola for a meeting. Despite the prevailing sense of distrust, Bhai Gurinder Singh agreed to accompany him. A female activist from Bhai Bhola’s group suggested he should carry a small pistol, but Baldev Singh dismissed the idea and expressed, “Let it go; this might lead us into trouble…”

Following that day, Bhai Gurinder Singh Bhola went missing without a trace. Later, his family received news of his Shaheedi (martyrdom). The life of Bhai Gurinder Singh Bhola continues to serve as an enduring source of inspiration for Sikh youth.
